I've played dozens of mobile games but I haven't found one that matches the level of strategy in Outwitters. There is some real deapth in this game behind the goofy graphics. Fired up a few games and I see people are still playing it, but it seems abandoned by the developer. Jul 04, 2012 It’s a battle of wits against friends or strangers! Take turns maneuvering your troops through the fog of war in 1 on 1 or 2 vs 2 battles. The first player to destroy the enemy base wins. Four races are at your disposal, each with a unique special unit to master.
Turn-based strategy game produced by the creators of the series Tilt to Live. Playing the game consists of fighting 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2, with the participation of units belonging to one of the four available races. The game is designed mainly for multiplayer.

ANDOutwitters, released on AND and iOS, is a production created by the One Man Left studio, known primarily from the Tilt to Live game series.
Mechanics
Outwitters is a turn-based strategy game in which we fight both with enemies controlled by artificial intelligence and with living enemies in asynchronous multiplayer.
The main goal is to destroy the opponent's base - the game offers both one-on-one clashes and two-on-two clashes. The opponents are selected on the basis of data determining our skills. The clashes take place in the turn-based system on boards divided into smaller fields. Players direct units belonging to one of the four races, and the game consists in indicating the closest targets and choosing a given action (attack, defense, special skill).
Technical aspects
The pleasant gameplay of Outwitters is complemented by an equally pleasant 2D graphic design, created in a cartoon style.

Outwitters is a strategy game that challenges you to advance across the board to try and destroy your enemy's base. You command an army made up of cute little characters that each have their strengths and weaknesses, and you have to make sure they're each in the right place at the right time to counteract your opponent's movements.ProsRules and tutorial: If you're new to the game, you'll find a complete write-out of the rules, as well as a thorough tutorial to help you get a feel for how it all comes together. The rules are clear and concise, and they manage to lay a foundation that you can build your skills on as you play the game.Play options: Whether you have friends who play the game or not, you can have a lot of fun in this app. Gameplay options include challenging your friends or being matched up against random opponents.
And you can play either 1v1 or 2v2 to make things even more interesting.ConsAccidental sending: Because you will be completing multiple actions each time you take your turn, you have to tap the Done button to signal the end of your turn. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation window to ensure you didn't hit that button by accident, which it's pretty easy to do. And there's no way back if you accidentally end your turn prematurely.Bottom LineOutwitters is a challenging strategy game that makes you think several steps ahead when planning each of your moves. It also incorporates some really fun graphics and details to make the experience more enjoyable, and it's free to download and play, although certain Map Packs and other items require in-app purchases to unlock.
